The VSI is an intelligent holomedical application. It presents MRI, CT, and SPECT images already 3 dimensionally in mixed reality glasses, which were previously generated from the original images. A completely anatomical image with all structures appears, which can be positioned freely in the room. Pathologies and fractures can be localized faster and more precisely.

Surgical planning: The physician can use the 3D images of his patient to plan the intraoperative procedure. Important structures, entrances, etc. can be drawn in virtually. Using a virtual scale, the smallest structures can be measured and displayed. The planning is stored and can be recalled during the procedure for optimal anatomical orientation.

Superimposed: The VSI recognizes the individual patient by appending landmarks and fixes the 3D planning exactly on the patient body. The control is completely non-contact and works through speech and gestures.

Several medical areas

The VSI provides several functionalities specialized to meet the requirements of the different surgical areas. To achieve the best results and to supply an excellent tool for your surgery, the experienced surgeons on our advisory board constantly help us improve these functionalities.


Neurosurgeons can dive into the 3-dimensional MRI head, peel it, and virtually lap it over the surgical site. In this way, even the smallest lesions can be recognized and surgically removed with a high degree of precision.


For surgeries in the ENT area, e.g. sinus surgery, a high-quality microscope is important.
To ‘slide’ through the 3D MRI images and cut the redundant parts, is another indispensable functionality.

Plastic surgery

The VSI allows precise transplantation of nerves or tendon rearrangements, especially in reconstructive surgery with the surgical restoration of lost body function and body shapes.


Abnormal patterns of brain waves and brain structures which indicate epilepsy can only be identified on the MRI images. A clear advantage is provided by the overlap of the 3D MRI images with the surgical site.


The 3D view of MRI and CT scans is an excellent tool for radiologists to diagnose a patient’s disease. The functionality to mark structures inside the images is of great value and helpful for further treatment.


Precise localization of metastasis by the VSI eliminates the need for additional CTs and MRIs in diagnostic and interventional radiology.

Oral surgery

Precise localization while operating dental fixings, broken jawbones and wisdom teeth, as well as improved orientation when implanting artificial teeth by merging CT/MRI images with the surgical site.

Spine surgery

The 3-dimensional view of the spine generated from the original CT images of the patient, as well as the exact overlap of these via the vertebral bones, are a clear advantage in the detection of diseases, injuries, surgical and conventional therapeutic method.
