VSI Telemedicine
Highly modern telemedicine in hospitals
VSI Telemedicine enables intraoperative telecommunication and
interdisciplinary exchange in operative and conservative medicine.
Advantages:
Quality assurance of patient care
Support of the attending physicians by experts
Faster and more precise diagnoses
Exchange of knowledge with colleagues despite the physical distance
Location independence
Features:
The called colleague receives the exact field of view of the caller on his laptop or smartphone and can advise him optimally without being live on site himself
Simple and fast documentation with text dictation, photo and video recordings, all of which are automatically saved and stored in the system
Simultaneous use and transmission of VSI Surgery functions
Several colleagues/specialists can be called simultaneously
Speak freely in real-time from anywhere and without delay

Work from home
Connect to the operating room and make your expertise available at any time, e.g. from home
Talk to your colleagues and share your own view
Exchange medical data

During the operation
Call your colleagues directly from the operating room via VSI telemedicine function
Display of the surgeon’s field of view on the laptop of the called party
Speak freely in real-time from anywhere and without delay
Simultaneous use and transmission of VSI Telemedicine functions
3D display of CT and MRT images in space
The surgeon uses the VSI Surgery during the operation. If questions arise, he can use the VSI Telesurgery function to call a colleague or specialist to discuss diagnostic aspects or the further course of the operation; for example, in case of complications, anatomical “surprises” or other unforeseen events.
The called colleague accepts the call on a laptop and gets the exact field of view of the surgeon transmitted, including all active VSI Surgery functions. Due to the visual display, the called colleague can optimally advise the surgeon without being live on site himself. He does not have to bend over the surgical site to see exactly what the surgeon sees.
Deleted: The call is made by voice control. In this way, the surgeon’s hands remain with the patient and therefore sterile. At the same time, the surgeon can continue the operation and be “accompanied” by the caller for as long as necessary. If necessary, several colleagues/specialists can join in, either individually or together (e.g. in a conference room with a beamer).
Deleted: The VSI telesurgery simplifies the transfer of knowledge between colleagues and departments. This promotes precise diagnostics, increases the safety of surgical interventions, relieves senior physicians/chief physicians/specialists in the background through spatial independence and supports the training and further education of physicians.

Expert consultation
Consult external technicians for questions or problems
Stream into expert conference, e.g. Tumor board
Communicate within the clinic, e.g. between the operating room and pathology for rapid diagnosis
With VSI telemedicine, doctors can contact colleagues and specialists to exchange information. The big advantage: it does not matter where the caller and the contacted person are located. The contacted person sees exactly the same as the caller.

During a pandemic
Protect doctors from infection by having only selected doctors conduct rounds and patient admissions
Maintain a high standard of emergency care by quickly calling in doctors from other disciplines remotely
Exchange information simply by voice or finger gestures
VSI Telemedicine can be used optimally during a pandemic. Treating physicians can consult their colleagues at any time and independent of location in case of questions and uncertainties without the called person having to be on site. Thus, rounds and patient admissions need only be carried out by selected doctors. This ensures better protection against infection for doctors, staff and patients.
Another advantage of VSI telemedicine is the consultation of doctors from other medical disciplines. These can be consulted at any time during a pandemic.

Telemedicine with any device
From HoloLens to HoloLens
From HoloLens to Laptop/Smartphone/Tablet
Between Laptops/Smartphones
The called colleague gets the exact field of view of the caller transferred to the laptop or smartphone and can advise him/her optimally without being live on site. Several colleagues/specialists can also be called simultaneously.

Global use
Benefit from the expertise of any specialist anywhere in the world in real time and in 3D
Expand your medical care for middle-income countries
Travel flexibly and make your expertise available to your colleagues at any time
Give or receive advice from other hospitals or offices
Automated and intuitive
VSI Telemedicine requires nothing more than the mixed reality glasses HoloLens from Microsoft and the Virtual Surgery Intelligence (VSI) itself. All functions are automated, the processes integrated and the operation intuitive.
Procedure: We install the VSI in your clinic, locally and securely. All CT and MRI images can be uploaded from the computer or laptop with one click onto the corresponding glasses using the “VSI Manager” desktop application. All data remains in your clinic. The colleague or specialist is called by the VSI Manager and automatically connected to the corresponding physician.
